@gibsong44 - You're thinking of "There Were TWA Bonnie Maidens" by Old Blind Dogs... the song is in fact a traditional ballad (one might almost call it archetypal) which has been performed a thousand times with a thousand different lyrics... Who knows where it came from originally :). I adore this song, both this version, The Loreena McKennitt version, and many others.

The "Cruel Sister" album, by Pentangle, which is an excellent album. I have the 12" L.P. --- Keep an eye on e-bay; a lot of early Pentangle and Bert Jansch work is being released on c.d.--- I recently picked up a new release on c.d. of Bert Jansch, "Rosemary Lane", which is possibly his best ever early album. |
