Slipknot - 09 Dogfish Rising [MFKR]
Dogfish Rising was actually on the same Track as Killers Are Quiet. Track 08. But this song, to me, felt like a bonus song (although it wasn't) so I just made a separate video for Dogfish Rising. Bear in mind there were only 8 tracks on the real MFKR CD. There were no bonus tracks. If you've got a bonus track on ur MFKR CD copy then ,I'm sorry, its fake.hey, i got the MFKR songs from:www.slipknot-metal.comyou'll find them there.MFKR was released on Halloween (31st Oct) 1996. The band Slipknot was formed by Shawn Crahan, (he was the original Drummer before Joey joined) the vocalist Anders Colsefini and the Bass Guitarist Paul Gray. The members when MFKR was recorded were:Anders Colsefini -- Lead Vocals Donnie Steele -- Lead Guitar Josh Brainard -- Rhythm Guitar Backup VocalsJoey Jordison -- Drums Shawn Crahan -- Percussion, Backup Vocals Paul Gray -- Bass, Backup VocalsUnfortunately, they only had one show with their original Lead Guitarist, Donnie. This was Slipknot was getting heavier and heavier, darker and darker, and simply unhonourable. This effected Donnie's religion, as he was a Christian, and left for religious purposes. So they recruited Craig Jones, which would play Lead Guitar. But they asked him to move to Samples + Electronics, so then they could have Mick Thompson on Lead Guitar. The lineup was now:Anders Colsefini - Lead Vocals + Tribal Percussion.Mick Thompson - Lead GuitarCraig Jones - Samples/ElectronicsJosh "Gnar" Brainard - Rhythm Guitar + Backing VocalsPaul Gray - Bass + Backing VocalsShawn Crahan - Custom/Power Percussion + Backing VocalsJoey Jordison - Lead DrumsAfter that, Shawn believed he wanted a more radio-friendly voice but still have Anders in the band. They recruited Corey to do Lead Vocals and asked Anders to do Tribal Drums + Backing Vocals. Anders rejected the request and left publicly. Anders couldn't stand the fact that he would on be backing vocals, so he left. They then had only 2 drummers. To fill in the loss of the drums due to Anders leaving, they recruited Greg Welts to do Custom Percussion. He recieved the nickname Cuddles, due to the look on his mask (which was a babyface). He remained in the band temporarily and recorded a couple of songs for CROWZ, he then left. Chris Fehn replaced him. After a couple of shows, Craig found it hard to do Samples, DJ, Electronics, Keyboards, Media and Sound Directing all on his own. So they recruited Sid Wilson, where Craig and Sid agreed to split the jobs in half. So they did these things:Craig - Samples/Sound Director/MediaSid - DJ (Turntables)/ElectronicsThe nine was now complete:Sid Wilson - Turntables/ElectronicsJoey Jordison - Lead DrumsPaul Gray - BassChris Fehn - Custom Percussion + Backing VocalsJosh "Gnar" Brainard - Rhythm GuitarCraig Jones - Samples/Keyboards/Sound DirectorShawn Crahan - Custom Percussion + Backing VocalsMick Thompson - Lead GuitarCorey Taylor - Lead VocalsThey then moved on to record the Self-Titled Album. And after a couple of shows before they officially released the album, just when they were going to get big, Josh left.Josh was then replaced with James Root, from a previous band that Corey was in before, Stone Sour. They then recorded a bonus song named "Purity".In the booklet, it says that Mick and James recorded all guitar tracks. But thats not true, Josh and Mick recorded all guitars, apart from Purity. Purity was James and Mick. Also, you'll find that the man standing on Corey's right, on the front cover, is indeed Josh and not James. After they officially released the album, the line-up was now:Sid Wilson #0 - Turntables/ElectronicsJoey Jordison #1 - Lead DrumsPaul Gray #2 - BassChris Fehn #3 - Custom Percussion + Backing VocalsJames Root #4 - Rhythm GuitarCraig Jones #5 - Samples/Keyboards/Sound DirectorShawn Crahan #6 - Custom Percussion + Backing VocalsMick Thompson #7 - Lead GuitarCorey Taylor #8- Lead VocalsAnd that is how the line-up is today. Thanks for reading.-JoeSkaterGuitarist
