Yes, he was a christian.In spite of this, Johnny Cash profoundly moves this staunchly atheist's heart.He moves me because he so very eloquently presents stories of our shared humanity.God has nothing to do with this.

Well I'm Muslim, and I love this song. This is a legend singing it first of all, and second of all this song should not spark religious debate..just enjoy it. And if you don't get the message, too bad, you don't belong here, go do a pop music search or something.....
