This is a video of me grooming my husky, during the time when he's 'blowing his coat'. This is a period when they completely lose the dense, fluffy undercoat that sits right next to their skin, but as it's so dense there is also a lot of it!The pile of fur in this video is after 10 minutes of brushing, so imagine how much fur he loses between grooming sessions and you'll get some idea of what husky ownership does to your carpets, sofa, car, clothes and anything else they come in to contact with.Please note: No animals were harmed during the making of this film... ;-)

Oh that is so funny. Rocky, our Malamute, loved cheese as well. It was the only way we could get him into the bath! LOL

um so what its not that much fur. and its ur responsibility to brush him more often. i get more hair of my black lab. and it only takes 10mins. to brush so dont listen to british people and get a husky! who cares how much he sheds.

I have a husky too! whenever we brush him we know to go outside! haha. afterwards it looks like we killed a sheep! haha :D

shed'n'blade. Get it, love it. Our dog was a little wierded out a first, but eventually realized that when its time to get brushed it means he got hosed down and got to cool off in the middle of summer :P. But yeah, the blade may look a little brutal but it works wonders on this type of dog, yours might even like it too.

we can do that every day to our Huskey and he'd still shed around the house like a monster.Never had a dog who shed as much. I wish I had seen this first! ;)(love my dog)

To be honest, its not worse than my cat! LOL we used to breed ridge backs but once they went we never had any other dog! and its the first time since then that i have fallen in love with huskys, i keep reading about them and everyone says about blowing their coats, like i know some people hate fur everywhere but any animal that's for fur is gonna get fur everywhere, i mean, us humans kick out alot of hair really! LOVE husky's one day i will get one!
