Carter's secretaries of state were Cyrus Vance then later Ed Muskie. This bozo can't even predict the PAST...far less the future.

All of this guys info has always come true. But every appearance he makes he constantly just promotes his own work as if he desperately needs money or something.

I find it rather convenient that he has decided to come out with this right at the exact same time they are planning to introduce the new Amero currency. You know the mate to the Euro dollar.The dollar must crash first in order to implement the plan.Since none of us make our own currency, we must accept whatever they offer, or be smart enough to have a viable alternate plan.peace :)Watch for the Amero, and the North American Union coming to a government near you!

lets say we have...200 yrs of oil but then you take population growth and mass modernization in india/china/brazil and shit...maybe more like 100 yrs but we should really find ways to cut back on pop growth and alternate energy by then?

Hubbert worked for an oil company. Shell to be precise.. His only accurate prediction so far was oil production in the us peaking in the 70's. This was all through a publication done up for shell oil. Fortunetly for us the world is a big place and oil companies and our government do not have complete control over the world yet, so the oil still flows at ever increasing amounts, contrary to the wishes of the few

It is true that oil comes from organic long-chain carbons but they took millions of years to form. We've only been tapping it for a little over 100 years. They wouldn't be going for the tar sands if they had easy pickings elsewhere. There may be enough oil to last another 100 years but there are also two countries that have most of the world population and want to westernize: China and India. Lindsey is right on about the financial evils, but not so up to date on geology. Peak Oil = Peak Profit
