I first heard a snipet of 9 Crimes when I watched Shrek 3 about a year ago. I have been looking for the full song for ages because I didn't know who it was by and what it was called, I shearched everywhere for a song called "is that alright?" and I just found 9 Crimes today, and have totally fallen in love with this guy's music!

This guy is music incarnate, I love it all. Awesome video, I am realizing the more I see of Damien Rice, the more he looks like my older brother. It's a bit crazy!

Well I love this song and have only just discovered the wonder that is 9. However surely we can respect someone's opinion who happens not to like it without resorting to peronal insults, please! I happen to hate Metallica AND not be a fan of James Blunt particularly but I hope that wouldn't cause me to be called all the names under the sun. It's just personal taste. I happen not to think that James Blunt is as bad as all that, just not that great! Have heard much worse (and better imho)!!!!!

ludusa, I respect your opinion and if you can hear in his music what are you saying that you are hearing, that is great then. To me, Damien Rice is too much like a parody to depressive music. In term of "depressive" music I like Beth Gibbons (solo album), Julee Cruise, Cowboy Junkies, Leonard Cohen, Mark Knopfler and many other "depressive" music, but not this.
