A beautiful song...and the cello is magnificently haunting

He has always been a dedicated song writer. I'm probably the only person on the planet that thinks his song "Monkey See" is one of the best he ever wrote :)

But part of what makes live music special is the atmosphere. The shivers that go up your spine listening to someone sing live, or joining in with a singalong with friends and strangers. Some truly great songs and singers don't need any "extra shit".

An excellent songwriter!! Seen him in Dublin awhile back, brilliant!!

has been one of my favorite songs for years. because of him i could never take the james blunts of the world seriously. Tom has the soul and the voice.

The chap was a few years too early. Tom would have absolutely dicked on James Blunt and the rest of them.Such a shame. He is worth three of most singer/songwriters that follwed him.Unlucky in my opinion, not that I think he would care. Its about the music to him.

I kind of get your point, but that an artist's performance live is just like on the cd, to me, is a bad thing. It is however nice that Tom's songs doesn't get worse live, that he keeps his standards. But "all the extra shit some artists tend to do live" is what makes concerts so great. To hear an artist improving what was already perfect, if you know what I mean...

That must be one of the dumbest comments I`ve ever red. Sorry, but true.If you dont know what I ment about the cd`s, I find it hard to believe you`ve ever been to a concert. Why go to a restaurant when you can eat at home? Why go to a football match when you can watch on tv?Why go on holiday when you can stay at home and relax?

If you go to concerts only to hear the songs on the cd, wtf is the point of going at all!? Then you can just listen to the cd at home.
