But if I'm not mistaken, when driving i pay attention to my own actions and actions of others. Most people do this I'm sure. Very rarely does the thought of cyclists come into my head and that is what this is all about, not a moon walking bear. Its saying if u focus on one thing ur gunna miss something your not looking for. That is WHY it didn't state to look for anything else.

They never said they're testing the awareness of our surroundings. Maybe they proved how easily the media could avert our awareness?

this test is inaccurate. By making us focus on the white team we block out basically most actions of the black team. Being a 2 dimensional video it's also harder to take in other obstacles. Of course we won't see a moon walking bear where the video didn't originally state to look for anything else! So it may be an awareness test in some ways it proves nothing significant!In the real world, we take multiple instances into account. That moon walking bear wouldn't get anywhere in reality..

Again... that is the point. Like nobody tells you every time you get into the car "hey! look out for cyclists!". They say if you look for a traffic light for example, you won't see the cyclist.So in the video they had to put you look for something else, except the bear.OK overanalyzed.

well i really put it into details. They first stated that this was an awareness test. with that being said was then followed by a question. So the original "awareness test" would be to count how many passes the white team makes, not to look for a moonwalking bear. Its like me training a boxer in a ring. I tell him to keep his left hand up so that he can block his head. But then out of no where, i kick him in the balls.
