This is Rodney from True Love Aviary showing how we teach our breeders to trust us. You do not tame a parrot, you get them to trust you. All four sets of breeders that we have received babies from are tame and enjoy the company of their humans. We let our "tame" birds teach the "wild" ones thus the breeders become as tame as them. Cody, a 4 year old Normal Green PF Lovebird, was never let out of his cage with his wife Mia until we adopted them. They were very wild, but now Cody has stepped-up for the very first time and Mia enjoys a good head rub while she is sitting on eggs. We have only had them for only 6 months. They went from wild and scared to trusting and just having fun with their new toys, cage, playgrounds, and their new flock mates. Through these lessons, our breeders enjoy seeing their human flock as well, thus not living in fear. This is what makes us different.

cutest birds ever i love lovebirds!!! my friend has one the boy is really friendly and goes by everybody and the girl is very scared to go near people...they had her for a year now and screams and runs away when people try to get near...shes very cute though lol

Hmm... I recently just got another lovebird. It's still immature, since the black marking in the beak is still there, but this one has not been tamed so she is still afraid of me. Anyway, I already have 2 tame lovebirds (one of them is Chatot, and I believe I sent some pictures to you guys :)) and I want to be able to tame this new one. So, how exactly did you get the tame ones "teach" the wild one to be tame? Hehe...
