I agree with the person who said it's still hard to grasp that Dan is gone. What a huge loss ! Why did he have to leave this world so early !

One reason (among others) that I moved to Colorado shortly after college was to see the actual beauty of Colorado for myself that Dan sang so eloquently about. Our world is much better off for him having been a part of it, and sad to say, not much better since the day he passed on. My Mother and Father both passed on shortly before and after Dan, they appreciated his music as well. Does anyone know if Dan and his wife had any kids to capture and pass his muscial talents?

He died December 16th of last year of prostate cancer. Barely mentioned in the media. But they had so much else to write about, what with Britney Spears shaving her head and the big break up of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. I'm not surprised you didn't hear about it. What a crushing loss to the world of music and the world in general.

I'm sobbing as I write this. I am ashamed to admit I didn't know that beautiful man had passed on from this world. What a talented, deeply-spiritual person. I am at work, crying my eyes out. Can someone please tell me what he died from..and when? Dan - I know you are in a wonderful new place, sitting with your guitar, gazing at some snow-covered mountain, with your head full of thoughts. jot them down so we can listen to your angelic voice when we get there. Save us a place.

The fact that they took the time to learn some of his music is the Tribute in itself. The singers and all of them are great!I loved it! Thanks for posting it!!!

I just found out today that he died, I am sick. I listened to Captured angel yesterday for the 1st time in many years. I had a tear in my eye after listening to "the last nail" Today I found out he died in December! Incredible songwriter/musician.

Does anyone find that it is still hard to grasp that Dan is gone? Does God take his angels at times very early? How could Dan not be an angel. Has anyone seen or have Dan's published book of his travels called Photographs? How nice it is?
