What a great song to be cruising to the beach with your girl beside you! Unfortunately, I was only six when this song came out, lived 300 miles from the beach, which, in my case, is the beach of Washington State, cold, windy, and forbidding even in midsummer. On top of that, was decidedly unpopular with the ladies. Ah, well......LOL. Love the song anyway despite striking out on all three counts.

Me too! I had a pink one and a yellow one. Everytime I wore them, other girls would stop me and ask where I got them. They were so popular. I wish I had kept them. I threw them out when I left home to get married.
