You wrote way too much. Anyway, what was my original claim. I only corrected some character who state the US killed thousands of Filipinos in Vietnam. Now I know you have a lot on your chest and you want to blame all of the Philippines current problems on the nearly 50 years of American rule, but you are trying to argue with someone who never directed his original comments at you. Have fun trying to suppress the Freedom Fighters in your own country.

(cont) If let' say, hypothetically, we invaded America. And then you fight to kick us out. Would you call yourself a terrorist? Some guys in Iran and Afghanistan are freedom fighters, freedom fighters which are, in a way, similar to the freedom fighters the Philippines had. That is my point. And unless this world is free of this empire built on greed and hate, there will never be peace. Thank you for reading.

(cont) that the original cause which these guys are fighting for, the Invasion of Mindanao, should not be considered as simply a cover for them to commit acts which America called banditry during the start of the 20th century, and terrorism during the 21st. And again, this is very similar to what is happening in Iran and Iraq. Sure, some guys there are maybe true terrorists, but in there are also freedom fighters who just want invaders out. (Continued)

And up to this day, the leaders of the MILF still demand independence, because they beleive that Muslim Mindanao was never a part of the Philippines, it was only invaded by the Americans and added to the Philippines. Now I am not in any way deffending these guys, most of them have deviated into acts of unlawful violence which in no way will advance their original cause, and they have caused so much trouble for our already troubled country. But I am simply saying(continued)

When the Spanish ruled the Philippines, very little of Muslim Mindanao was under their control, the local chieftains enjoyed independence, and the whole island was not truly a part of Las Islas Felipinas. However, when the Americans entered the scene, they tried to subdue the whole island. The Sultans and Datus considered this as an invasion of their (continued)

There was never any accurate count as to how many Filipinos were killed in Mindanao, and if there was, it would only refute your claim. The claim I made was based on a census. Before the Fil-Am war, the population of the Philippines was over 9 mil. After the war, it dwindled to less than 8. And I would also like to point out that most casualties in the Fil-Am war was not because of the resistance of combatants, but because of disease, starvation, and atrocities caused by the American (continued) |
