What's the number one cause of global warming? Cars? Nope. Factories? Nope. Planes? Nope. According to the United Nations, raising animals for food generates more greenhouse-gas emissions than all the cars, planes, ships, trucks, and trains in the world combined. You can help educate consumers! Sign our petition to get all meat properly labeled with a warning that clearly states that meat is the number one cause of global warming. http://www.peta2.com/meatsnotg...

Hey ShadeMC! True vegans do not wear anything that is made out of leather, wool, silk, etc. Besides the typical animal products (meat, eggs, dairy) we also avoid animal by-products, such as honey, gelatin, etc. Basically, anything that is somehow related to animals is a big NoNo! Some vegans even go as far as putting their company animals (dogs, cats,..) on a vegan diet, but it is very expensive, and also controversial, even among vegans. There is more than one level of being a vegan. Thanks!

First of all, I think being a vegan is real brave way of living. I have always been eating meat and despite that I know all this, will do so for the rest of my life. But I do encourage people who have made this choice. But one thing I don't understand about vegans is this. If you are so concerned about the earth and global warming and the well being of animals...How come you wear clothing and shoes that are made out of animals, drive cars and other things that contribute to global warming

rainbowcypher "id like the see the source of this info in all fareness , Im all ears , Meat requires 10 times the biomass of plant food on avg. Cows are not exempt from the first law of thermodynamics, neither are u. Plants are producers, animals are consumers, to ingest consumers over producers requires exponentially more energy transfer. This is just baby logic. It doesn't matter who the source is, it's not possible for meat to be more environmentally efficient than plants.
