Tesla came up with wireless electricity years and years ago. Electricity would have soon became a means to transfer information. Quite possibly he could have had wireless internet for the world 40 years ago.

Interesting how a master hypnotist has left out the part about how the people's became themselves hynotized. This is a very bad video that places blame where it does not belong. Those "others" who came up with the "solution to the problem" are, of course, the New World Oder. Please, wake up and redirect the flow yourselves. It can be done now, this moment.

The people who did that were all free marketeers. Darpanet was headed by an MIT guy, funded by the DOD. It wasn't developed by the DOD. Nothing is. Government can't even build roads, it contracts everything out.The only case you could make is that it provides compulsive (Taxes, don't pay you go to prison) coordination. But remember, the world wars wiped out a lot, who knows where we would be without it. And to say "I support only GOOD government" is just cherry-picking. It's all or nothing.

"are you saying that's worth the wars?"Of course not. My point was that the "free" market is not what facilitated those advances.

And the ability to exploit and oppress is only possible if you can shift the cost of exploitation. Why is it always corporations that do bad things? Why is it "corporate welfare" and not "company welfare"? Simple: the only way a company can profitably screw the consumer is to get the consumer to pay for his own shafting. If a company tried to pay workers below their MRP ("wage slavery") without a state, they would basically be fighting a guerrilla war. This was seen in the homestead riots.

Look up the z3, made in 1941 by some guy tinkering. Maybe the military sped up the computer's development and the internet, maybe the taxation and wars slowed it down. If it did speed up computer development, are you saying that's worth the wars?"Too much freedom leads to disorder!"The internet was proposed by some guy at MIT, whose idea caught the DOD's eye. That's it. The military didn't develop it, hell without taxation he may have found some other way to develop it.
TrojanXero (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
No it didn't. The internet was originally developed as a military system, not as a profit seeking endeavor. Electricity was discovered through human curiosity, not desire for profit. Computers were developed by the military, and in universities receiving government funding. But you're right, youtube was created to turn a profit. So you can cling to your religious faith in the "free" market. Hurray for the freedom to exploit and oppress. |
