Child Abuse - Concrete Angel

Alright, the court case for Kelsey Briggs' stepfather was last month so now seems like the right time. There is a bit of info below on each child featured in this video. Although, the Beaumont children were not abused: they were kidnapped, murdered and made headlines. Also, they are from my home state.In 1988, Judith Barsi was shot and murdered by her drunken father after suffering mental and physical abuse from him for years. He then went on and shot her mother. Two days later he drenched the bodies in gasoline and set the house on fire before finally shooting himself in the garage. Judith was 10 years old.Candace Elizabeth Newmaker was adopted out when she was 7. Within months of the adoption, her mother, Jeane Newmaker began taking Candace to a psychiatrist, complaining about her behavior and attitude at home. Although Candace was diagnosed and treated with medication, Jeane reported that Candace's behavior became worse during the following two years. Candace was a victim of child abuse and suffocated during a 70-minute treatment session supposedly to treat reactive attachment disorderOn December 26, 1996, Patsy Ramsey (according to her testimony) discovered that her daughter was missing after finding on the kitchen staircase a two and a half-page ransom note demanding $118,000. The results of the autopsy revealed that JonBenét was killed by strangulation and a skull fracture. JonBenét Patricia Ramsey was a beauty pageant contestant who was found murdered, at the age of 6, in the basement of her parents' home in Boulder, Colorado, nearly eight hours after being reported missing. The killer is still unknown.Jane Nartare Beaumont was 9 when she was kidnapped along with her younger sister Arnna Kathleen Beaumont who was 7. And her younger brother Grant Ellis Beaumont who was 4. They went missing from Gelong Beach in 1966 on Australia Day and have not been seen or heard from since. They were more then likely murdered. (Random: My Dad was there that day when he was 13.)On October 11th, 2005 at 1:30 p.m., an Oklahoma DHS worker visited Kelsey for the last time. That worker said everything looked fine, about two hours later, Kelsey died. The Stepfather stands accused of striking the little girl in the abdomen earlier in the week causing blunt force trauma and inflicting deadly wounds. Kelsey Smith Briggs dies hours before her father, Lance Briggs was due to return from serving in Iraq. The father of Kelsey, Lance Briggs has filed a 15 million lawsuit against the State of Oklahoma and the Institution involved that was suppose to protecting Kelsey is requesting that the documents be released. Kelsey Briggs died at two years and nine months. Yes, she was only 2 years old!On February 2, 2007 a plea negotiation was entered and approved by the paternal family. The stepfather plead guilty to a reduced charge of Enabling Child Abuse and received 30 years in prison. He has no possibility of parole for 25.5 years. The mother is scheduled for trial in June 2007. A new law has been named for Kelsey in Oklahoma to prevent this type of failure in our state system.Lets pray and hope all those suck bastards out there are brought to justice. Remember these are only a few of this sorts of things that happen every day all around the world.
