Are you pulling things out of your "limitless" arsehole? Even YOUR arse cannot be "limitless", how could Persia be "limitless"? That's like saying Persia was immortal and Alexander defeated that. Does that make sense? NOFurthermore, at the time Macedon was not considered "Neighboring Enemies" like the Athenians and Spartans but an outsider. So Alexander WAS considered non-greek barbarian at first. Its a pitty Alexander didn't know how to make his army bigger, he could have done better.

I agree ck9423, and personally I know Alexander didn't "slave" his soldiers. But I was a midst a comparative argument of Genghis and Alexander which Boukephalos claims Genghis "slaved his soldiers". Hence in relative terms to Genghis (who was always careful about his soldiers), IF Genghis "slaved his soldiers", then Alexander could be claimed to have "slaved more" on relative terms. But of course neither Generals slaved soldiers, so you're right. Boukephalos1 is wrong. Both Generals were Great.

ah, no. Read a little more. Your facts area little off. Didn't kill his father, Greeks always had infighting but he and his father brought Greece together as one. To Greeks people from another Greek City-State were barbarians. He finally extended his borders to a length the limited amount of his Greek people could go. Remember his army was only 40-45,000 men. Not limitless as persia or others.

wait i am half greek so i know greek history and Alexander did not slave his soldiers but he did kill his own father to get into power and at one point in his life he disputed being greek as southern greece called him a barbarian, furthermore he only lost control of his army because he was a drunk and his best friend (also lead general) fell out with him so there was infighting-not all out physical fighting but nonetheless argument. so his empire was stopped in north india and on his death split
