Yeah well 'trying to rope' a whale seems like a seriously bad idea even if you are trying to help. Anyone tried to helpfully rope me, I'm sure I'd have a bad reaction too.

Wow, I'm sorry but what the guy below stated was kinda exactly what I was thinking. It's a shame someone had to die but if they had basic knowledge of this animal then they could have known what should have done in order to direct it to safety. . .not challenge it to a duel. Still, I'm sorry that the guy lost his life.
