If anyone is interested I have an astrophysicists paper on pulsars, in pdf form. Just leave me your email address and I can shoot it to you. From that paper you will see that this signal couldn't possibly be a pulsar signal.dean

These 'signals' are not constant, pulsar's are, and their have been military sources who suggested it is used as a range tester for the HAARP EM bursts to test it's efficiency over long distances. Any EM source of sufficient strength could disable all short-wave communication around the globe. Which could come in handy if you wanted to silence all dissent during an operation.

1 - pulsars produce a signal on their own, they don't need any outside intelligence to produce the signal.2 - those scanned channels will have background interference known as "noise". It is a result of our own signal output, not output from an outside source.3 - yes, that was my point.
anutarasamyat (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Yes, it is from a 'pulsar' source, the question is, from where is the 'pulsar source' originating. Two, yes, channels are being scanned to show that it doesn't cover all frequencies, but a specific frequency on the scale, and three, it was a patch of different days recordings made by a radio operator to show that it spanned time over more than one day. Your point being? What? That it was phony?
ChaosmanOne (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
The three parts of this audio that have been spliced together are: The signal emitted from a pulsar source - that repetitive click. The background noise from our own signal output as channels are scanned through. A pause to make it seem as though the pulsar click is not constant but seems to have a pattern or meaning when in fact it is constant and continuous.Try again.

that signal is not used by the alliance. .. it could be an imperial code . . it's a good bet the empire knows we're here! |
