I'm a teenager, and I enjoy this 50's - 80's music WAY MORE than I do today's rock 'n' roll. Buddy Holly; Beatles; Rolling Stones; Doors; Who; Dylan; Dire Straits will always beat out Screamo in my mind. I think the big thing that makes Screamo unsuccessful compared to Classic Rock is the fact that it doesn't make you feel good. Sure, not every Beatles song was upbeat, but they at least made you feel touched at the end in some shape or manor. Johnny Cash did such with Hurt.
