You're right! They carry people.I guess you suppose we should carry our2,000,000 tons of train freight each year by the same method...Trains account for 41% of our freight-miles in this country. Trucks, only 30%.Carrying people around is important, but that's simply not what he's talking about. He makes it clear in this vid and others.

I'd have to check but hasn't Japan had a high speed bullet train that runs on electricity for decades, and Taiwan just got one.Now I'm not sure how they power it, but I believe it's electric.We do need a mix of solutions, but I believe we need to be going in the direction of electric, and innovations will follow rapidly

Your electric fantasy can't power busses, semi-trucks, trains... and you may want to review Gore's chart as to how much more pollution those vehicles make than our personal transportation. Buy your electric car! Those are available and getting better! But it's just not enough to change the way we operate.

Mainly what he is taking about is using natural gas for large truck. Also he slant is financial ramifications of importing oil and yours seems to be environmental. Both are good motives.

not a fan of Pickins. He realizes the oil boat is sinking so he wants to sell his natural gas. He co-opts the message of the authentic environmentalist movement.What we need to be doing is transitioning straight to electric in terms of cars, it will be challenging enough, why the unnecessary step of going to nat. gas.We need to focus on clean renewables such as solar and wind, and the likePickin's oil has also gotten us closer to climate disaster, now he wants to change, yeah right

hold up he said in this very first running ad ad that we cant dril our way out of debt,sounding like a democrat that was saying the same thing ..um yes we can if we drill now process our own fuel from anwar and the pipes we have capped up we can drill our way out of a crappy situation and have other nations buy oil from us than from them

Also, China and India cant afford to buy alternative energy if we want these technology to make jobs here. To have both is very difficult, but should be looked seriously.

Pickens is very difficult to size, he knows all the alternative energy products are at shortage for some years, he is buying large lands to sell water...is he into something? Or as a cover to spy on capitalist who are worsening the situation by looking adept to free-reign capitalism? Is he just paid by the bilderberg to bring speculators into understanding that the situation is serious and should not be used for selfish needs?
