ppl wo say theyve bought jaspers ...be real careful..cause idiots stores are sellingrandom new 360 claiming they are newer jasper chipsets (ploy to get rid of all the backlog of old 360)...i personally bought mine from ebay brandnew guaranteed jasper model...never looked back since :P

I agree, this is helpful, but there's no good reason why Microsoft can't get the defect rate down to what it is on the new Slim PS3, or even the Wii. They have the technical expertise to do it; it's just laziness on their part.Still, thanks for posting this!

@rickyay26There really is no way to predict it. My launch day RROD at around 1 1/2 years. It was replaced by Microsoft by a second, still the old chipset, and it has lasted me since. Right now the DVD drive is starting fail, sadly. Though it has lasted 3 years. Double the life of my launch day.
