so what if they sound like taking back sunday. The mars volta sounds like a wannabe of psycadellic rock that my paretns used to listen to. I admit they do have some great songs but I cant sit through a whole album of theirs without getting bored quickly. Sparta is still one of my top bands and this is coming from someone who is a fan mainly of death metal and thrash. Sparta in my opinion is different then all these emo bands out there and i think thats because they are not that commercial.

i agree. i like both bands. But i feel sparta knows exactly where they stand and they dont try to go all wacky like mars volta does sometimes. They know what their sound is and dont try and change it every album like TMV. Both great bands but Sparta in my opinion are more traditional and have a lot more feeling in their music.
