Logically anything being sacred is kind of ridiculous. Your point seemed to be that it was ridiculous solely because it's white. Holding white lions above other lions doesn't have a negative effect on the other lions as far as I can tell.So yea, I guess I have missed your point. What is it exactly?I don't worship anything, and hold nothing material or physical to be sacred... but that doesn't mean I don't understand why others do.

You're right, they're not racist statements. They're words without context. They make no statement at all . . . so you have no real argument here. I never said anyone was making a racist statement. I did however say that white lions are NOT sacred just because they're white. Calling them revered for doing nothing that any other lion would do every day is shallow to me. It's almost like saying you should be revered for brushing your teeth every morning because your toothbrush is green.

My opinion is that white lions are rare. Thats it. There are a lot of animals that are rare and there's a word for them - "endangered" - not sacred. If they were pink lions they would hardly be sacred. I don't think people truly understand how these concepts seep through the cracks of society and ultimately end up stereotyping others - even if its a good stereotype. They're just lions.
