Billy Mitchell has a score of 1,050,200, while Steve has a score of 1,049,100... right?

I saw Steve Weibe reach the kill screen in person. What a sight. And no matter who currently holds the high score, Steve will always be the King of Kong. People just love Steve. Billy, not so much...

According to Twin Galaxies, a ref was present when Billy broke the record again. (which still stands at the moment of this posting.)

He swapped out the board. The Donkey Kong Jr. cabinet is what he could find to buy nearby. Getting a cabinet shipped is super expensive, especially for a guy just laid off like he was back when he bought it.

Of course he actually did it... he already proved, in public no less, that he could cream the old 1982 score... he has the chops. Billy is also amazing. They respect each other and are creating excellent competition. It's anyone's game, although Billy does seem to have the edge. Of course, he's also been owning at these games for ages... Steve is still pretty new. Either way they're both good guys.

Well, the movie doesn't tell you that because it happened after the movie was released. They barely got in the fact that Steve beat the score Billy submitted during the Funspot comp in the movie.
