just saying, wikipedia is a horrible source to quote,it's edited by anyone, using wikipedia just makes your points seem worse,it's not much of a valid source

it's more of an abbreviation these days....and as Kaal667 said,it really isn't different than saying brit instead of british.it an abbreviation

Yes, I noticed people have been giving you sh*t about your comment and making a much bigger deal of it than you intended to. That's the beauty of Youtube dialogue (/sarcasm): trying to make a point will often get you seventeen negative votes and a couple of insults. But I agree with you that telling someone "hey, you just used a racist word there" is NOT the equivalent of saying "oh my god you are such a racist person you do not deserve to live I hate you I hate you".

I know exactly what you mean. I wasn't offended when I heard it being used, I was just surprised that it was. All I wanted to do was simply point out that it IS a very offensive word to some Japanese people. I didnt say "OMG THEY SAID A RACIST WORD WA WA WA I HATE THE IT CROWD" did I? :/ But people somehow thought I was making a big deal about it, when in fact, I wasn't trying to.I know they weren't intending to offend anybody.

Racist or not, I think we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that it's Denholm Renholm who uses the word. I mean, 99% of his lines are either obnoxious or plain stupid - or both! So it would be in-keeping with his character to use a racist slur, and it wouldn't necessarily mean that the IT Crowd's writers are racist, quite the opposite.

>theOdd1Yes, I think I can speak English better than ordinaly Japanese. Just like this movie, although Mr. Yamamoto is a VIP of big Japanese company, he can't speak even English.
