There are 2 generally accepted meanings behind this song. One is a contrast between the love of woman and drug addiction (Brett wrote this one, not Gregg). Another is a little far fetched but actually makes sense. Some say its about Charles Manson and the Sharron Tate murder (there are several reasons but one was that a delivery man was killed in her neighborhood just before her murder, also she was murdered when she was pregnant).

This is my favorite Bad Religion song, hands down. I remember listening to Against the Grain when I was playing Silent Hill 2 and this song came on and really added to the atmosphere. It's a great song.

I interpreted this song as something different. I take it that old cliche, if that's what you want to call it, that women would cheat on their husbands with the milk man or the post man and that she got pregnant by him and she sought out to kill him for that reason. I thoguth "all good children go to heaven" meant that she had an abortion or something. The part of "I neve rloved you, how did you find me?" I thought was being stated by the delivery man before she killed him.
