Damn this is great. Death/Black/Thrash Metal never was better as in those garage-days without any intellectual ambition and sophistication. It just came from the stomach and was an expression of youth and jauntiness. They all should have stopped when they turned 23 or at least called their music style different then. Chuck, Mille, all of them.

Darkthrone is old black metal? Darkthrone jerked off on these guys songs... Biggest band to black metal with venom, bathory, celtic frost and possibly merciful fate.

Yeah Mayhem is a fantastic group indeed. One cannot deny the influence that Hellhammer/early Celtic Frost has had in shaping extreme metal. All of it is fantasitc in my p.o.v. as well. :)

Haha yeah, it's a lot more evident in Vader's cover of Freezing Moon, but all is great metal nonetheless.
