Comlpicated question which I cant really answer properly. I think the conductivity of the material shoots up below a certain point as you approach (the theoretical) absolute zero. This results in some magnetic effect causing levetation. I think higher temp superconductivity work has been carried out using similar materials to what you see here. Carbon nanotubes are theoretical 1-D conductors since there is no 'electron scattering' but no levetation....yet ;)
