I think this was a FABULOUS performance, a joy: very true to the spirit of the musical, the pianist was very skilled, the voices were right on and a joy to hear, and the choreography, as well as dancing, were fantastic! It seemed to be mostly authentic and Jewish, but some Japanese culture influence was evident. =) Fiddler is one of my most favorite musicals, I am trained in musical theater and very experienced, so I don't take kindly to poor performances. This was WONDERFUL overall!

SatchmoSings:I didn't say anything about the Muslim comment because I realized you're Jewish. Criticizing you for talking shit about Muslims would be no more effective than saying "you shouldn't care about money so much."I occasionally get chain e-mails from my Jewish family members about how Muslims are bad. Non-Israeli Jews are afraid of Muslims but talk shit in safe places.Christianity is Islam is Judaism is Prejudice.

I fail to see what is racist about saying how the Japanese (who do, by the way, have a reputation for being quite insular and even more than racist; ask any sixth generation Chinese or Korean there when they'll be accepted for citizenship) are "Citizens Of The World." Indeed, while it may be, patronizing, it is hardly racist; it was meant purely as a compliment and I fail to see how it could be viewed as otherwise.The "racist" angle should have come in regarding what I said about Muslims.
