So true. Then again it reminds me and a lot of people I know of the old Channel 4 ident and that was awesome =)

Indeed. Thames used to provide over a third of all programmes for ITV. Yet still they were ditched in favour of those makers of gutter TV, Carlton. 16 years on and look what has happened ...

thames is really still around under the name talkback thames. and by fremantle which is 100% better than carlton

Sorry, completely forgot Thames, they were a first class station as well, producing some of the best programmes ITV have had. Such a shame Carlton outbid them for the franchise as Carlton were dismal.

You haven't seen Central's. None could beat theirs!!!

I can't believe that you put those three companies ahead of Thames with its world-famous London skyline ident. i read in an old newspaper article somehwere that it was common to see up to 50 Thames programmes per week!!!

great stuff, I remember a continuity announcer, her surname was crawford I think, she was mad!! lol

I agree Anthony. LWT, Yorkshire and Central were the best three companies in terms of quality and quantity of output. Most of the best and most treasured programmes over the last 40 years were made by them. Speaking of which, LWT would have been 40 this year had they still been around.

If they ahd to force a generic ident on anyone they should have sued 1:08 to 1;14 lol |
