am just going through the chemistry involved in the manufacture of tofa. It would be one of the most exacting manufacturing process I have ever come across. I am a retired Industrial Chemist with some 40 years experience. So, you can take my word for this.AND, you are suggesting to people to eat this ?I certainly would not eat tofi and if you have any commonsense, neither will you. I would much prefer milk and meat as natural foods, thanks very much !

Manufacturing tofu is a complex process not at all "natural". organic or anything at all healthy. see-Good Food: The Complete Guide to Eating Well - Google Books Resultby Margaret M. Wittenberg - 1995 - Health & Fitness - 379 pagesFrom page226.Soy proteins are mainly used as a very cheap source of "filler" used in a most junk food products. With milk and meat, we know that there is little or no chemical processing before we buy these foods. This cannot be said for soy products.

for a better flavor, add 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce and 1 tablespoon of mirin or chinese wine to the sauce mix. make sure you use thai basil and not the italian variety. bon apétit. |
