I remembered when I first saw this commercial. I was so shocked. In all honesty I felt that the girl was prfectly fine she had a little bemish here and there but that did not make her ugly. I love Dove's commercials.

yeah. i saw this at school on a reflection day thingy. One of the themes was 'self image'. We watched this, I could watch this another 50 times! Its just so.. weird and intruiging.

Agree with togalogs. If I was a man, I think I'd find the start picture more attractive. Generally, you can actually tell a little bit about people by the way they look, and the first picture looks like a pretty honest, nice girl. The second looks like a vain, self-absorbed kind of person. I've never understood the majority of models, they look awful. Even their expressions don't look human, and they never smile. How can you like that?

While I agree it's a great commercial in principle, I think it's hard to take seriously when it's bought and paid for by the same people who make the AXE commercials. They're just covering all their bases.
