Speaking behind closed doors to an audience of San Francisco donors Barack Obama said "they cling to guns or religion .... as a way to explain their frustrations"Obama's anti-gun record is long.In 2004, he voted against legislation drafted to protect homeowners from prosecution in cases where they used a firearm to halt a home invasion.In 2003, he voted in support of legislation that would have effectively banned most of the privately held hunting shotguns, target rifles, and black powder rifles in Illinois.And in 1996, Obama supported a ban on the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns.But now Obama's running for President and claims no knowledge of this, even though his handwriting is all over it.Barack Obama: Out of touch with American values. Not ready to lead.

You are a fool, the 2nd amendment was established for the citizens to protect itself against it's gov't if need be. We should be able to carry the same weapons that the military does.

Without the 2nd amendment we will lose the 1st. I have a 9mm. pistol. If someone is breaking into my house my wife can call 911. I'm going to stop the bastard. If Obama becomes President I could be arrested for using force against the criminal by infringing on his rights. Criminals love gun laws.

Wake up!! Once they have banned handguns it will make high power rifles the next target then shotguns will go and suddenly the right to self defence becomes an emtpy token gesture. Crime then rises and the government will then use this crime wave to ban more things. Until they realise that the only thing left to ban is toy guns......so they ban them as well.I should know, I live in England.

Maybe they are designed to kill people but I'd sure like a handgun in my hands when a burglar entered my house. If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.
