you are extremely naive if you think makeup constitutes acting. this was one of the best performances in cinematic history, critics praised her ebert said so. and charlize got another nomination two years later. christina hasent gotten any. christina just had to work off charlize's intensity. it was easy.

Charlize performance looked good because Christina Ricci's performance was simply perfection. She made the movie looked and feel realistic, not just a pretty girl with face prosthetics. She was just perfect and people didnt even cared. This was Christina Ricci's movie
