Steely Dan write 1000 times brilliance than Roxy guys. You shouldn't just compare two different bands operating two absolutely different sub-genres. You are wrong. Steely Dan has some amazing performances. In the meanwhile, their studio versions surpass many of their live acts. So are many other great artistes' unless you are talking about the guys of the likes of Phish or Govt. Mule

Anyone complaining about the vocal quality of this song is a retard. Of course it's not going to sound the same. Don Fagen(the lead singer) isn't singing!!! The lead guitarist is. What else do you expect? If Fagen was there it would obviously sound 10 times better.

Well i think Walter has wanted to be singing for a long time maybe don was like ok what ever,,,lol i like it ..shit there are some songs like (do it again) that they have a girl sing ,,and i freaking hate it they should have let walter have a stab at it ...

There's something about Walter Becker's voice on this that I really like. The song's just so great.

Not a bad rendition, but I would have done it in octaves from the get go. I think it was a cool idea to double the melody like that.

Indeed...stick with Roxy Music, Bryan Ferry, etc. Steely Dan should simply not do live gigs...they leave it all in the studio, God Bless 'em.
