Brian (ueberRegenbogen) not sure what your problem is but I can assure you I know exactly what I am saying and am very familiar with EchoLink and I know that it never required a terminal node connector, but after 3 days of getting asked the same question of how EchoLink worked without a TNC I just made it part of the speech. I know as well as anybody how the V71 and EchoLink work next time find out the facts before you start false accusations of something you know nothing about.

LOL, I know what you mean, I am the same way actually. I guess I have grown used to life without a good analog meter now, but a bandscope is still critical if a rig or station set up is going to impress me, actually for anything 28MHz and up, life without one is like running blind.

LOL KU4-mike-yankee!!! Stop following me around (just kidding)! Call me a traditionalist, but I love analog meters with real needles, and bandscopes are a great tool, especially on 6 meters.
