Have any of you read the book right through? The reason I'm looking at film clips of the movie is because I'm on Chapter 3 of the book.Book Talk has a discussion thread on it . . . not many people are participating. Maybe it's 'cause they're all like me - finding it a tough read.Woolf is really 'wordy' in this novel. Or, maybe it's just me . . . dunno'.Carly

This is one of those alchemical kind of occult gay/witch movies like the Cremaster series or Derek Jarman's Jubilee. They are all obsessed with Elizabethan fashions and, except for Cremaster, Elizabeth herself. That makes sense because the Tudor family was descended from a widowed French queen -- Catherine of Valois -- and Owen Tudor, her Welsh "dressmaker." Literally, the Tudors are the children of an aging witch who slept with "her gay." With NO claim to the English throne whatsoever.

Underrated movie that should have been a LOT more popular. I LOVE period movies and this one crammed them all together beautifully! :) 5 stars for posting this!

omg!! I was just joking, sorry!! The movie name is of course Orlando!! It's the first thing you can see in the clip's title, followed by the year when it was issued. Sorry for having been a bit ironic:(
