Does Snoopy kill her to escape? I could have sworn that a stack of something fall on top of her and she lying on the floor as snoopy escapes!

Lila is a much nicer girl, to put it mildly. Too bad Lila's final scene was so sad for her. This mean girl ("Clara") abusing Snoop got off way too easily, especially compared to Lila.
