they didnt kill to eat , they killed to kill hyenas and lions hate each other , and yes it does happen that two males hunt together , when two male cubs grow old their "father" chases them away before they start screwin with his females. that's it.

Is it common for two males to be hunting together? I always thought there was only one male lion per pride. Considering how territorial they are.I only ask because, well, I just got done watching a male Lion kill 3 cubs from another pride just to keep them out of the gene pool.
