Well, the events which allowed man's evolution were unique and, because we are the only species like "us", must have never happened before. So, the likelihood of humanity evolving if anything changes is lowered considerably. That's not to say an intelligent thing could not evolve, it just wouldn't be human.

I did use the possibly did I not.

So? Anything in speculative evolution usually equates to man not existing.
JamesThWilliams (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
That would involve man possibly not existing.

In fact lately it is proven that birds philogenetically belong to the theropode dinosaurs; that makes them direct descendants of dinos. Birds are late dinosaurs in fact:)

dins= think.God, how did I screw that word up so badly.
Gormanmod (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
I know. I was speaking of the creatures from before the dinosaurs.I dins it astonishing that, despite 500 million years separation them, the mammal like reptiles were evolving into furless lookalikes to our modern mammals.I'd like to see a speculative evolution project on what a world where dinosaurs never evolved would look like.
JamesThWilliams (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Dinosaurs were not reptiles, ask a paleontologist. Dinosaurs evolved from reptiles, but had characteristics of mammals, reptiles and birds.

The climate is a dynamic system that cannot be stopped, but we add to the problem so that is accelerates and life doesn't have time to adapt.

Is it true, and/or are you really a optimist. I herad scientists that say it´s to late to fix the climate. But maybe they say that, so people won´t get lazy and stop caring lol |
