Yea but what rap are you talking about? There's different subdivisions of the genre. Mainstream Rap is corporate and corporations feed the public what they buy.

Family, the thing is that rap is often negative...but the thing is it's just a reflection of a deeper, bigger problem in society. Everyone wants to blame rap but art imitates real life not the other way around. I agree that rap hasn't been helping, and its paying for the negativity (just look at the decrease in sales), but things will CHANGE for the better...I like the kid that Jay and Nas have been talking about google "siditionist" to peep the future

You're trying to generalize an entire genre of music from select few artists you seem listen to and that's where your wrong. There's plenty of other Rap/Hip-Hop music out there. Why dont you listen to Common, Mos def, Talib Kweli, Brother Ali, Lupe Fiasco, Nas, Immortal Technique just to name a few |
