wow mate im not swimming in salt water anymore..i have the same thing happen but im catching 12 inch trout and they are getting struck by musky and striped bass nothing like this but its still scary and annoying hahaha

So, the shark got it before the people did. Kind of like the early bird gets the worm. Anyway, I don't see any difference between the two preditors; either one would have dined on marlin. Don't get me wrong, I love fishing and I love eating fish, but that Black Marlin wouldn't have hung around once the sharks showed up! Tethered to the ship by the fishing line, though, doomed the marlin to become chum. A very sad waste to a gorgeous fish. Very dramatic. Thanks for sharing. :0)
