May I add that I didn't add the chives either, I still have people wanting the recipe. One note, the "real bacon" may be better, but it is a mess. Sorry, but the fake works just fine for me. I still love the original idea, I just think it can be more simple. I strive to bring cheap ingredients together, making wonderful meals.

They give the same effect, without the grease and mess. I don't really care if they aren't real. The annoyance of making real bacon is to the point that I wish not to make it. It is greasy and gross. I would much rather eat the fake bacon.

You don't have to use bacon.Substitute it with your favorite veggies and top it with cheese.
